    Looked at 2A's site this morning and there's an "aged" or "cracked" filter over it. Anyone else notice that?

    There seems to be some grunge styling on both the splash and the actual Flash page indeed. Interesting. Are they hinting at something?

    one might consider the possibility that 2a was hacked...although the probability is small... but the grudge is very very amateur....

    That would be almost impossible. The hacker would have needed the original source files of the Flash movies in order to add in the grunge. Also, why would a hacker go through the trouble of carefully applying a grunge in the Flash files and not just totally deface the website?

    As for the grunge being amateur, it's not bad in my opinion. 2A hasn't focused much on grunge/organic work in the past. The current grunge is simple and not detail-heavy, but it's all that is required.

    It doesn't require too much time to apply a simple grunge. I would bet that 2A still have a some decent amount of free time if they wished since they have a flexible daily schedule (as in, depending on the situation, they could work 14 hour days or 6 hour days).

    I have to agree... the grunge isn't really done all that well imho either. But if it's a transitional piece, then I can't wait to see the final.

    The grunge is looking much better from what I saw the first time.....got short circuits and sparks coming off and all.....neat....neat.....

    LOL, optical.
    2A has always had good ideas design wise, and over the years the Backend and frontend integration has become top notch.
    I agree that 2A is good, but in todays Flash and design world, there are a lot of other designers that are just as talented.
    Kudos to Jordan for making a nitch for himself in the design community.

    lol, I remember Eric Jordan's very first 2 versions of 2advanced. When he was just a kid. So many things have changed since..


    I must admit though that 2Advanced hasn't evolved in style. It's a pitty because they do seem to give the necessary care in their work.

    I recently had to suggest a new media design firm to a friend of mine, who has just bought a yacht house and needs a website... I said that in my experience, here in Italy, there is no way to find people that work seriously in this field.
    The only studio I know does things precisely is 2advanced, but they don't have the culture and elegance, necessary to work on such a project.

    It's just sad, because if it were the case, then 2A would deserve the universal website Oscar prize!

    What you are talking about is "style".

    What I'm talking about is the industrial meaning for "design", the opposite of what ignorant media talk about all the time!

    I think jordan's work has evolved greatly.
    Take a look through his past works and you will find a pretty varied array of styles. Lots of them do have some of the same style elements, but there are a few they break out of his self imposed mold.

    I believe this group is from Italy, very different style, but it's one of my favorites.
