    Photoshop Issue

Doubt this is the wrong place to post but I can't really find a better forum for it.

I'm on my new computer at work and have Photoshop CS installed, but I'm running into an odd issue. All of my color display without Photoshop is messed-up, it is far darker and fewer colors than it should be.

    actual desktop colors

what it looks like inside photoshop

*note that if I save this file, it is the correct colors, not what it displays. or is i copy and paste to Paint it is the right colors.

Anyone know how to fix this? I thought it would be color settings but I have tried everything i can think of there to no avail. Or, I thought it might be something with my video card but I don't replicate the issue with any other programs.

    Thanks!

I take that back, I am having the same issue with Illustrator too, but on a lesser scale. it is not quite as dark as Photoshop.

remove your monitor settings... use the standard Adobe RGB settings.

I would go into detail, but I'm Photoshop-less for the moment.

    Edit> Color Settings

change Working RGB Color Space to "Apple RGB (1998)"
Nothing to see here, move along.
