can't make a movie with flash 8

Help,i downloaded macromedia flash 8 but i don't know how to open it!

In your list of files you should see one whose icon is a red ball or says that it is an "application". Click on that and then go to "File" and then click on "New"
Go to the help menu and look for tutorials, or the manual which is probably a .pdf file. Start downloading the manual if you do not have one. I would suggest going to Barnes and Noble and picking up a basic elementary book on Flash 8. Sometimes they have CDs included that have a series of Lesson that you can work through. In no time you will be creating flash programs.

When you say make movie I assume you are talking about sequencing a series of frames together as opposed to taking a video and dropping it into Flash so that it will play within the software.

Sounds like you have a little homework to do. What is your background in this multimedia world?
