    shipping to Canada (Nova Scotia)

What would be the best way to ship something FROM Canada to the US (upper mid-west)

Do they have FedEx up there? Also any way to 'send' money quickly? Does paypal have any problems with Canada? (forgive my ignorance on this subject)

Oh now I understand... well I'd suggest Paypal for the money... I live in Canada and I've never had a problem with it.

How much is it from Canada to Wisconsin (say zip code 53202) for example...

And how is the holidays this week affecting you?? Today it is closed? and for the 4th are you guys closed as well? (monday & Tuesday?) And I doubt overnight to US works from Canada does it?

Shipping is the part I am most concerned about

    thanks

It depends on the weigh of the package you're sending. If you go to fedex.com you can get a rate quote. Same goes for Purolator and UPS. I normally deal with Purolator because they ship from Canada Post.

You can get 1-2 day delivery but it usually costs quite a bit extra.

Use Xpresspost for affordable and fast-ish delivery (it's sent via Canada Post which is the Canadian equivalent to USPS)

    It's $23.33 CND for a 2lb package that is 12" by 12" by 5". Delivered in 3 to 5 business days.

edit: and if you need faster, go by the Puraltor rate (it's quite expensive if you have a big/heavy package, so UPS or FedEx would probably be cheaper / better if it's big/heavy)

The canadian contact asked for purolator..but mentioned somethign about doing it from the candian post...

Xpresspost & 3-5 days isnt fast enough...I was looking for overnight or 2 day maximun..

I tried to go to the puraltor site...but I couldnt get it to work..hence the reason I posted!

the package is roughly 2 inches by 2 inches..and weights next to nothing...

I just quick..and accessable from the CA post I believe..

thanks.. anybody know the puraltor rate from/to the address above?

I basically need to PayPal him the funds so he can send it overnight... thanks

You can use the link I posted above to figure out the price for Purolator. They have minimum size requirements so for a

    The following shows the rate(s) for a parcel of 9.50inch x 6.00inch x 2.00inch weighing 0.3kg

Purolator International (See Canada Postal Guide)
    Base Price $43.95
    Delivery confirmation Included
    Signature option Included
    Fuel surcharge $3.41
    Coverage Included
    Total $47.36

I think USPS or FedEx might be cheaper.

hmm weird...link works for me. There's no option to choose..it's all overnight to the USA.

I looked on the FedEx site and it's even more. it's $84 for second day and 151 for overnight.

I think it's so expensive because Nova Soctia is kinda in the middle of no where (well, it's not..but it's small compared to places like Toronto or Vancouver in population)

There is no option for speed. Purolator is overnight to the USA and Xpresspost (the next step down) is 3-5 business days.
