    LoadVars Object: Can't Get It To Work!

    I am developing an application and for some reason I am having the hardest time Loading Variables into Flash from a simple (or not so simple!) text file. I am running FoxServ (Server Software including Apache, PHP and MySQL) on my PC. I am able to write to the database from flash and PHP, but I haven't been able to load any data. This is what I have been doing:

    1. Creating Dynamic text fields on Layer 1, putting actions on layer 2.

    Actions:

    lvLoadNews= new LoadVars();
    lvLoadNews.onLoad= function(){
    trace (tcTextField1);
    trace (txTextField2);
    }
    lvLoadNews.load("Testing.txt");

    This is the basic idea, I have tried many different things, and I am not sure if it is my scripting or if I am missing something in my actionscript or it has something to do with the server software. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would like to move on from this simple problem.

    really, for what you are doing...you dont even need a server running. youre only loading a txt file. from what you are doing, your .txt file needs to look similar to this:

    &tcTextField1=texttexttext&txTextField2=texttextte xt
