[F8] playing for a frame then..

i have a movieclip on stage. it has 3 frames but is stopped with "stop():" so it only shows the first frame

on mousedown i want it to play frame 2 for a duration of 1 frame then frame 3.

how would i go about doing this?

Right so your problem is that you have a movieclip on the stage with 3 frames, and the movieclip has three 3 frames, and it starts on the first frame but when the user presses down on the movieclip it plays the second frame for 1 frame then moves onto the third frame?
