Dual Core preocessor
Just a quick question( soz if this is the wrong forum, but doesnt seem to be a hardare forum) at dell the processor for a desktop is
Intel® Pentium® D Processor 820 with Dual Core Technology (2.80GHz, 800MHz FSB, 2x1MB cache)
Does dual core mean there are two processors? Cheers for the help but i know jack about the different types of processors...
Also how would the above compare with:
Pentium 4 3.0ghz 630 LGA775 800mhz 2mb HT
which one would be faster? cheers

Dual core means it has two processors.
I'm not sure about how the two processers would compare though....

The Pentium D should be faster and use less power, even though neither of these are top of the line, cutting edge technology.
