    [PIMP] HockeyShootout

Mbenney and I made little promogame for the junior euro inline hockey cup happening in my hometown in Germany soon.
Thanks to iopred for the highscore routine and to tomsamson for a quick fix.

    Known issues:
    • Players keep sliding even when stationary
    • Opponent AI could be enhanced
    • limited to 15 Level atm
    • limited set of graphics - would be nice to choose you colours and get different opponents as you go along
    • German texts only

    Enjoy...

This game has a lot of potential.

Besides for the known issues, there are two other things that I found.

After you lose and replay, another instance of the music starts without stopping the first.

Secondly, you can always just skate past the first guy, skate behind the goal, and shoot against wall and score. The opponent can't do anything about that. I got to level 7 like that, and became bored.

However, if you actually try to play the game fairly, its pretty fun. I've always enjoyed games that require accurate passing and shooting. So if those bugs are fixed, this game can be pretty fun (and yes, definately needs harder enemies).

    The art looks fantastic.

Well, I had 2 things to complain mostly:
*the startup is always at same position which means once you can score 1 goal you just keep doing it over and over. Some sort of randomising the positions would be nice.
*cant use keys in menu. To play again I had to switch to mouse to click menu texts and then go back into keyboard.

A shot at goal should not be handled as a pass, but the orange circle should stick to the player that's closest to the ball.

It looks good as usual and the passing and shooting feel right.

The game really is insanely easy though. The defender may as well not be there hes so easy to get past.

Cant you just plonk another defender in? Maybe have one where he is now and another around the goal area?

The time limit should be shortened as well as its way too forgiving.

The GK hardly attempts to save anything. He could do with being able to move quicker. It might be an idea to not let him go right to the posts. He would then cover the main areas of the goal from any angle which would make it harder to score.

It plays well but needs to be much harder.

If our body is a clock ticking away and if while we experience all that this world has to offer time has still continued to pass, are we living or just experiencing a slow death?
