    Leica lens font

I've been searching for this minimalist font Leica uses in all of their lenses, but with the help of Leica's FAQ or even whatthefont.com, there've been no succesful results.

There are several images where the font appears, here are links to a few:
    http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/Leic.../frontview.jpg
    http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/Leic...opcontrols.jpg
    http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/Leic...elcontrols.jpg

If these images are not clear enough, there are more in the LeicaDigilux2/-folder.

whatthefont.com suggested that the font is Isonorm: http://www.paratype.com/fstore/fonts/Isonorm.htm but even though the letters seem to be similar, the numbers are not.

Eurostile / Eurostile condensed are similar but once again the numbers aren't right

Tough call Leica has been around forever. Chances are you won't find an exact duplicate. Back then fonts were designed by true fontographers/graphic artists.
It reminds me of older rollex

the Isonorm font looks close enough, does it have to be exact?

you might also try some form of bank gothic, maybe a condensed version.
the higher the climb, the better the view.
