How do I stop Slideshow images in IE auto-resizing?
Hi, Newbie Alert....
I've recently uploaded a new website (www.lenart.co.uk), my first utilising Flash and Koolmoves.
I use a number of slideshows which I now want to resize, so that you don't have to scroll to see the full image(see http://www.lenart.co.uk/fashionslide.html) but I have found that if I resize the images too small, Internet Explorer automatically resizes the image when I test it, leading to nasty jagged images within the slideshow.
How can I fix the image size within the slideshow so that this doesn't happen?
The smaller image version of the fashioslide.fun file is attached (I have also changed background colours and borders), the image size is no bigger that 550x550.
I am using Frontpage 2003, The latest Koolmoves, Microsoft Digital Image 9 and IE6.
I'm new to Flash, and this is my second site using frontpage & HTML......
If you access the slideshow properties and click the option to set the content you see a list of all images you added. If you double click one of those, you can set the parameters for that particular slide. The crop/scale parameter controls the scaling of the image.
Hi Matt, we can't recreate your problem. Please zip and post the images that go w/ the fun file, or create a link to a test page that has the issue you are describing(e.g., /fashionslide1.html) so we can view the problem. At this point, can't tell if it is an IE, FrontPage or Flash issue. Best regards,
Hi! Thanks for your responses. I've now fixed the problem, but I don't really understand how it happened in the first place....
The test pages I were named as fashionslide1.htm and fashionslide1.swf, and were created when I edited from original fashionslide.fun file and exported using the filename fashionslide1.
The problem occured in line 12 (codebase?) of the koolmoves auto-created html as follows:
By changing the word fashionslide to fashionslide1 in all occurrunces within this line I got the test page working without the image problems described (I imagine the script was calling from the original swf file with the larger images, which then caused the image distortion)
I guess my expectation would be that koolmoves would have automatically edited this part of the script... Any idea of where I went wrong?
