    questions about the "if" command

    I'm having a problem syncronizing the flow of some movieclips and I'd found very useful the use of a if-then command, as in .asp. But I don't know where to start. I'll clarify my problem with an example. Let's say I have 2 frames on the timebar and a movieclip called "movie" with its own timeline.
    If I move to frame 2, I need a command that, if the "movie" clip is on frame 3 of its timeline, it has to play from frame 4 on.

    thanx a lot man. I wanted to know the usage of the "if" command for personal knowledge too, not only for my current work and you helped a lot. The script works great and I can go on with my current site. thank you
