¿¿Library MC Name = Instance Name??

    Hello,

Need some help with something I'm not sure if it's possible to do...

Is there a way I can get the name of an Instance as it appears in the library?

    Something like...

    mc.Instance Name = mc.LibraryName???

No, just type it into the instance name field in the properties panel...

If the symbol is added to the stage at author time it has to be typed into the instance name field in the properties panel.
If the symbol is added at run time the instance name can be assigned as the second parameter of the attachMovie() method.

What exactly are you trying to do?

Yes you guys are right, at this point I fount out that it will not be possible to solve it with scripts since the symbols are added to stage at author time and unfortunately for this concrete example it would be to complicated to do it at run time.

    Thanks anyway
