ya know whats weird..i rarely post but constantly read...if you look at my user name youll see im not at all new. I remember when there was no such thing as a PS battle...i remember when the higher ups said if one more person cried about the absolute vodka ad they were gonna go bananas...i remember when gerbicks avatar was the brownie with the teeth thing chasing the kitten before it was all over the net and when internet.com said "hi".. 
You dont know me..but i know you :P...When im using the search function to find answers to questions i have i get excited when i see the answer to a question asked is from a poster who i know goes way back and holds alot of credibility to me... I also know the posters who are WAY too smart for me and will provide an answer or solution beyond my comprehension.. **cough** Subway **.
recently i came across a post regarding "floating flash" as some people are calling it..Whereby your background is scaled 100% the size of the browser and images and movie clips are non scalable and remain centered or relative when the user resizes the browser..something i wanted to learn....well after reading the post i was able to get it to work..and in the process i really learned a great deal...
It reminded me what an incredible resource this place is..and how ive always been glad that its here...Ive been flashing for a living for over 5 years and each one of those years flashkit has never let me down..when people have asked me how to learn flash i tell them 2 things..do the lessons that come in flash and go to flashkit.com

I have to admit I can't stand the fact that Actionscript.org has the forward thinking to carry a dedicated Flex 2 forum yet we here (the reigning king of flash related websites) don't even mention Flex in any Forum title and it gets bundled into the AS3 forum (which to Flex users may not make it readily apparent they can post there). We dedicate an entire section (group) to third party tools (nearly all of which will never exceed AS1 and therefore never touch any modern coding standards or current thought processes) and have somehow gotten behind the eight ball as far as setting the standards. The technical forums are what brings users here IMO, the CL is place people migrate to once they are here. If we can't draw them here because other Flash related forums are setting the standards, then the CL will be affected by attrition.

I wish we had some sort of credit system here for quality / valued assistance. Then we could use any extra ad revenue / solicit donations from Adobe / Electric Rain / tech. book publisher to get prizes to award monthly.
If not that, holding some scripting challenges. Or organize some grand competition that gets everyone involved.
We'd organize ourselves into teams, each a "specialist" in a different forum, and we all have to work together to acccomplish the goal.
So, maybe it would be to create a game. Well, we'd have the members from the sound forum helping members from the design forum, helping the people in the coding forum.
Actually, now that I think about it, it might not be such a great idea, but it's something to start at...

Well i've already suggested a karma mod about 3 months ago in the feedback section but gerbick mauled me (this was when I saw gerbick as the hitler of FK)
More strict on users seems the higher your post count the more you can get away with [dont quote me on it] Footer Rules should be on every forum not just a few, popups should be added which alert you of rule updates (ive seen it done b4.)
Tutorials section is hard to navigate, has no way of ordering the entries and most of the links in the tutorials section, sound loops and other parts are broken. Submitting tutorials doesn't always work and it'd be nice to know in an email that it hasn't been submitted rather than the author wondering if there was a tech error.
There should be a few more moderators around the boards, there is usually 3 and alot of the time near all are offline. Some forums have mods who are strictly American or English this means when someone from a different time-zone posts there are no mods to moderate a potentially obscene post. finally there should be java-prompts for things like avatars and footers;
eg:
Remember restrictions for overall footer size [max footer dimensions here] does your footer obide these rules?
