Would it be possible to open a new section on FK devoted to eLearning?

Seems like a good idea to me since most of the e-learning projects I'm working on are all done in flash, and there are often issues specific to e-learning.

How about a SCORM section? Not sure there are enough SCORM related questions to prompt that...don't want to end up with a million sections either...

yeah all the courseware I have developed has been in Flash or a captivate file wrapped in a custom flash player. It seems like wbts are becomming more and more common.

Yeah, me too. I haven't used Director or made a cd-based training program in 2 years probably. Especially since Flash can now handle the student tracking, data, SCORM, etc.

Seems like more and more companies are turning to wbt since travel costs are rising and much of the hardware that needs to be trained is too expensive to send out to multiple locations. Plus, the wbt is getting better, the simulations are more realistic and you can train much more interactively than you could a few years ago.

We're also doing some hardware simulations so that companies can test their interfaces and functionality before ever having to produce anything. We've saved several companies thousands of dollars by letting users "test" their virtual equipment before they spend money making it!
