Brainstorming

ok i know some people don't like the discussions but some do, so if you don't just ignore this.

i'd love to have a brainstorming thread filled with exciting and different game ideas, hopefully it will work like this, i'll start a word and someone else makes a short description of a game with that word, they then choose another word and someone else continues. Hopefully some people will be inspired

Afro

A combination of BitmapData and curveTo() gradually grows out an intricate afro over the course of a few minutes.

Ripple

Ripple - a surfing game for boyant insects riding ripples in a pond, insects must dodge small human nets and goldfish

lava

your first click on the screen creates a ripple in water which begins a chain reaction eventually causing tidal wave, as the "ripple" get biggers, the view pans out until it covers the world. I'm not sure what the point would be, but it would sure look cool anyway.

Sound

EDIT: malee beat me to it...

Sound - A note is played and you have to alter a wave pattern to recreate the sound. (Ok thats kinda boring, but i couldnt think of anything else)

Umbrella

Umbrella - an evil mary poppins is reducing your towns population by by distributing floating umbrellas to everyone, your mission is to jump on everyones umbrella and keep them from floating away (platform game)

Lemon Juice

You are James Bond, but you have somehow been mistaken for a food channel tv host. Use various items within your cooking show to (like lemon juice) to fight your way to not-food-network. The game eventually escalates in a boss fight with Mario Batali.

Time

Time - you are 8 years old, and on a school trip to the Greatest Clock museum in the world, when suddenly a small leprechaun man taps you on the shoulder with his wand and makes you 1000 times smaller and places you inside the biggest, geariest clock on display. You have to make your way up to the top through the cogs and gears before it strikes 12. Features nice ragdoll physics.

Electricity

It's a Sonic game where you are a character that can use his ability to charge his body to a million watts for one second in order to do things like destroy enemies, propel himself in the air, magnetize steel, boil water, and charge (rechargable) batteries. He can also teleport by going through telephone lines.

Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan makes a return but due to an administrative errror gets affiliated with the wrong WWF, and now travels the world, protecting endangered species and beating the crap out of turds that do nasty things to animals.

Your cursor is an AA attendee, and you have to navigate him around the screen, weaving around incoming alcohol bottles.

Sewing

Sewing - You play the all powerful (insert your preferred creator of the universe diety here). The fabric of reality has frayed at the seams and you have to stitch it back together. Sew various historical timelines together to create different alternate realities. The happier you can make people by combining realities, the better you score.

Virus

Virus - You wake up one morning to discover your house is infested with the t-virus, your family have gone and your starting to mutate into a zombie, during this mutation, you realise there is no hope left so you enjoy a can of 5 year old creamed corn, in doing so the mutation goes wrong and you are left as part zombie part human (a thinking zombie) you must wander the streets of your town in search of your zombie family and give them the creamed corn. However to stop the mutation from taking you over when you're more zombie you have to munch on humans, when you're more human you have to save humans. (resident evil style)

the entire game is made of two colors, yellow and yellower
throughout the game you can do crazy things to the environment as if though it was partly solidified paint, including special abilites like, walk on yellow (variation of jesus's walking on water), yellow rebound, etc. EVERYTHING consists of yellow blobs

Eternal Fire

Eternal Fire - year 4000, Aliens have invaded earth, the only thing that stops them is fire, however after many years of war the aliens have adapted to the fire and it barely hurts them, the only answer is to find Eternal Fire, a traitor of the aliens speaks to the humans and tells them where to find the Eternal Fire, you captain a ship filled with many people set for the fire planet. As you arrive the aliens are waiting and you battle them to get the Eternal Fire (Starcraft style RTS)

punk - you, work on peoples rides, in order to get them completely punked out. you must decide what your customer views as "punkish" and punk out there ride accordingly, as these customers recomend you, you will became better known, and you may have to fight with other corporations over possesion of the customers

Merging

Merging - there is no more love in the world. You, being the creative scientist you are have to create a love potion by merging many different chemicals, bacteria and cells. You must act quickly or the world will be without love forever. If your potion sucks then everyone will hate each other instead. You advance by creating different strands of your potion, your departement tests these strands and gives you back data so you can continue your experiments. However you have limited test subjects so you'll need to be smart

Merging - an earthquake simulator. You view the world underground, shifting and slamming (and merging) tectonic plates. Destroy as many cities as you can, as quickly as possible by figuring out which plates pull on what fault lines and connect to which cities, set up chain combos and level whole continents.

As you make the long treck home, you'll have to be smart to run under the cover of leaves and rocks and safely get home. After time, the rain will start piling up and you'll have to start moving along higher ground.
