Error when trying to create Quicktime MOV
When trying to convert an animated GIF to a Quicktime movie I get an error saying that a required Quicktime component couldn't be found.
Does anyone know what that component might be?

A QuickTime encoding plugin. Perhaps the H.264 codec (Apple's latest.) You'll probably need QuickTime Pro to get the codec: link.

Thanks Gen, but previously I was able to save MOV files from Flash MX. I had to un-install Quicktime and re-install it and that's when I wasn't able to do so any more.
I think I'll try to contact Apple support for that.

Gen, I was lucky with Google and found this Adobe site which describes the problem and its solution.
I followed the instructions for Windows and was then able to save QT movies from Flash MX.
If anyone else has this problem, send them to

Thanks again, Dan
