[F8] Library Items increase SWF size?!

    Hello,

Does it affect the size of the final SWF if I have a lot of large-sized items in my library that are not used in the SWF?

    Thanks!

Yes they do. I can't recall the exact reason why but I believe it has something to do with FLash storing them in the swf file. So if your not using them anymore it'll be a good idea to get rid of them.

    Hi

I don't think it makes any difference.

If you add a huge photo to the library then 'test movie', it won't be any larger file size.

    Try it.

any unused items in the library do not affect the swf size as they are not exported to the swf

only items which are used are exported ( including the ones which u have given linkage identifiers to) ...

if u wanna tidy up..click the arrow button on the top right hand side of the library panel and from the menu choose the option 'Select unused items'

    and then just click delete..
