    infiniumlabs animation

    http://www.whoswestudios.com/infinium/intro.html

athere the loading there is a 3d infinity symbol continiously being drawn by nive glowing particles.
I use after effects fo these kind of effects, but couldnt solve out how they do that. Any reasonable answers ?

btw - yea this is an old topic maybe but i need that effect

Are you talking about right in the main page there, constantly spinning?

If so, I'd put a bet on someone using Trapcode's Particular.

Create the particles in Particular, make them follow an infinity symbol path, rotate the symbol after making it a 3d layer. I would then add an Adjustment Layer and attach a Glow and a Hue/Saturation to get the color and glow effects and also experiment with transfer modes.

That's how I would go about it.

    One thing that might help:

Scroll down until you get to Andrew Kramer's articles. The one called Creating Light Streaks is a damn good tutorial. It should do it.

I might be wrong, perhaps Particular isn't the thing to use but that's where I would start if I were doing something like that, or at least attempting to.

damn, this is good. Btw - i've found a way to do more similar one with Trapcode 3d storkes but this one is a lot easier to work on freeforms.

3d Strokes I haven't gotten into. Particular seems to be easily malleable to damn near whatever you need.

I added you on MSN so feel free to drop me a line whenever you're on.

yea its a close effect but it cannot be variated into different shapes so you have to make the first shape continious..
With 3d Storkes you can move the shapes too
here is the example for now - check it:

As you can see its a lot different from Andrew Kramer's tutorial. All of the lines follow their own pathes.
For me, that is a cooler effect.

I'll use this on a nice project.

Looks nice! Great job on it.

So I assume you had better luck with 3d Strokes? I haven't messed with that plugin much but it definitely seems neat.
