I'd like to start building my portfolio up with new work ready for my new site launch. So if anyone's up for it, I'm game.
It would also be great if a mod could set some rules (theme etc.) to keep this challenging, but a large canvas would be preferable.
Any takers?

btw, welcome to the Arena
It'll preferably be up to you about the rules... they're usually easy to set up. I think that you should pick a resolution and/or amount of time between images.
Any ideas on what you might want?

Yeah, that'd be great pointguard.
I've dabbled in the arena before and know how it works. I thought it might be a bit more interesting and challenging if a mod set a theme so I don't have a set serve before the battle starts. I'm at work right now, but if no mod's up for that then when I get home later I'll set some rules and start a volley.

image size: 840 pixels by 640 pixels
image rotation: allowable
image continuity: must use recognizable bits from the prior image
image turnaround: 48-72 hours, Saturday/Sunday are optional (can skip these days)
battle theme: urban life/living/sites - city living at it's best/worst

Sorry about the delay. No work-related excuses from me, some nights I just haven't felt inspired enough to create anything. Last night was an exception though and I should have it up tonight.

Wow, I've really struggled to get things going. Hopefully things will pick up now the ball is rolling.

Some opinions would be great, I really don't know how I feel about this one.

It's balanced, but very sparse. Good open layout, too little tension though. I like all of the parts, but it just seems to be lacking something... good image though. No doubt.

No I can't do it by tommorow..
I like the style, especially Big Ben and the punk style censoring, but I think there's too much whitespace around the edges and the assets are too uniformed in the way they have been placed on the canvas. Also the typography could of been better.
That said its a refreshing change from the usual battle images i see in the arena, keep it coming...
