Troubleshooting: Component + LoadMovie
I have 2 SWF that works fine alone.
One has Combobox, the other has an Accordion+Texfields.
However, as soon as they are loaded inside another SWF.. the components do not display any text (labels, title, content)..
Weird.. So I've google the problem and apparently it's a bug.
Now how do we work around it?

Put the components in the library of the parent movie.

I already tried that one without results.
I copy-pasted those two components on every single parents SWF.
Is that what we have to do.
BTW, great site of yours, I will look for some of your products shortly.

Have you tried lockroot for the movieclip to load the child movies in?
Movieclipname._lockroot = true;

This one worked. However, it would have locked the MC and prevent it to interact with the other.. It's particularly an issue since the Components are used as menus!
Can you explain more about putting the Component on the parent library.
Maybe I'm not doing it correctly.
Thanks for your help.

All you need to do is place an instance of the component on the stage of the parent movie and delete it from the stage. It is now in the library.
When you use lockroot and you want to communicate above the root of the movie with a timeline of the parent movie you need to use _level0 instead of _root.
