Hi:

I use flash mx

In the main timeline i placed a symbol / movieclip. Its instance name is:

movie

I the library I have another symbol / movieclip . I export this symbol /movieclip for actionscript and i have named it:

ley1

In the main timeline I write this function:

multiple = function (source, , level)
{

this[].attachMovie(source, "attached", 1);

attach the movie "source" into the movie "" in the level "level".

}

This function attach the movie "source" into the movie "" in the level "level".

I use this function several times, so i want to write MODULAR code.

In frame 5 i write:

onEnterframe = multiple("ley1", "movie", 1)

In frame 10 i write:

onEnterframe = multiple("ley1", "movie2", 2)

It works nice.

I attach the movie "source" into the movie "" in the level "level".

Now i want to control the attached movie properties (x position, y position, rotation, alpha)

How can i control the attached movie properties?

I use:

movie.ley1._x = -3;

this[movie["ley1"]]._alpha = 50;

And both work fine.

But i want to write my MODULAR code...

I have tried:

this['target'["ley1"]]._alpha = 50;

this[ + target + ["ley1"]]._alpha = 50;

this[" + target + "["ley1"]]._alpha = 50;

target["ley1"]._alpha = 50;

this["target"["ley1"]]._alpha = 50;

this.target.ley1._alpha = 50;

_root.target.ley1._alpha = 50;

target[ley1]._alpha = 50;

target['ley1']._alpha = 50;

this[ley1]._x = -3;

this['ley1']._x = -3;

this['target.ley1']._x = -3;

this[target.ley1]._x = -3;

this['target.ley1']._x = -3;

target[ley1]._x = -3;

target['ley1']._x = -3;

_root.target['ley1']._x = -3;

_root.target[ley1]._x = -3;

_level0.target['ley1']._x = -3;

_level0.target[ley1]._x = -3;

but none of these work...

How i can control the attached movie properties (x position, y position, rotation, alpha) with MODULAR code...
