    [Game] Bubbles

    Hi,

I was wondering if I could get some feedback on my latest small game.

    Game Name: Bubbles
    Game Link: Gamestack.org
Game Instructions: Using your mouse you click on bubbles that are floating up.
Game Description: You have 30 seconds to pop as many bubbles as possible.

    Thanks everyone for your comments.

Enjoyed, a little too easy in my opinion, only missed three bubbles I think. High Scores didn't work =/ would be nice to maybe have different difficulties or some extra stuff to spice it up some...

Highscores are back up. Was my mistake in naming a variable wrong :S.

ChaseNYC, were the bubbles just slow rising? (FPS)

Maybe my computer is too fast or maybe both Chase and Trogdor have got really old computers, but I sucked at that game!!

I didn't play it for that long (mini-games lose my attention fairly quickly), but in the time that I did, the game kept me entertained I was determined to get a highscore..and obviously gave up not too long later. The game's best aspect's imo were the graphics and the originality (cant comment on the sound though, because I had it turned off).

I noticed a bug/mistake: The instructions on the actual web page (not the swf) are for your valentines game.

LOL Anyhow, I figured it out. Trog, you're a genious. I gotta try that for all games of this style.

DOUBLE EDIT: PFFT I take it back, Trog, you can't handle my leet skills. 1st, 2nd, 3rd place by 20k.

    - the font @ the preloader looks shifted in 1/2 pixels. If you use flash 8 make sure to embed them as bitmap fonts.

    - maybe some explosive animition on them once you click on a bubble,- like water sparks/drops.

hmm, guess it's a nice enough game. Don't know how you managed to get such a high score pride. I manage to play it through a few time without missing anything and yet I never broke 4000. What am I missing?

    lol.
Note to self, never key tabbing enabled when making a game that revolves around clicking things.

I thought that's what Trog was doing, but then when I did it, I realized he wasn't, and I was consitantly destroying his scores; hence, leet skills.

(Pfft, Viza, did you figure it out before I mentioned it?)

............I almost cried when I first used that.

At first I thought I was just physically tired from footy training and mentally tired from HTML coding, but that's just plain mean ..Trogdor your a freak, what's your secret??

Mick, you can delete my highscore. I shamefully cheated

    Viza

EDIT: IP, As I said I was mentally and physically drained, but I had no idea you could do that

I thought you might like that in place of the "Not a credit card."
I think I'll take my respective role as:

King of not turning over a game in 4 months

Yep. It has a nice ring to it.

I like it, it's fun. My only problem with it is that it's kind of hard with a touchpad...

    Eastwinn,

Thanks for the comments. Yeah I always bring a mouse to use with my laptop. The touch pad sucks for games

It's very addictive. It's very good, graphics are great, I can't see how someone got 4000 and above, though. As there weren't enough bubbles to burst to get that figure.

    Feedback:
I'd allow people to submit hi-score by pressing enter.
I would put link to hi-scores on 'submit page.
You might consider showing the scores on the game, but I understand your marketing around making it go to the site page.

All in all it's a good game. Potential to develop it further.
