    [Complete] Battlemachy: Jade Bandit

    http://www.arcadetown.com/battlemach...andit/game.asp

Battlemachy: Jade Bandit is the first episode of the Battlemachy Saga, an RPG-lite shooter from Urbansquall.

There are only 5 levels, so difficulty ramps rather quickly. Level 4 is hard, so is level 5. The key to both is to keep moving while firing at your targets. Usually that means picking a target on the opposite end of the screen. For level 4 in particular, you need to capture the turrets to have any hope of victory.

Hope you like it! I'd love to hear your comments and suggestions.

    Had a quick look:
Very very very nice graphics + pretty original gameplay I think?
Great!, coming back to this one with some more constructive feedback.

am I the only one ?

so back to the real game:
outstanding graphics realy nice job there, who ever did those sprite arts spent alot of time on them. It makes the game really a rich expierence - I even played till the 4th level (got beaten there) and that´s usally rare for me with flash shooter games as I usually really get bored fast.

    Game mechanics:
I sometimes had the feeling that the character freezes as I shoot- I am not anymore able to control it as soon as I shoot rapidly. What I found nice (and I guess many feature games will do as well) is the automatic pause mode when you either leave the flash area or hit the right mouse button.

I only intended to play it for a couple mins and spent 1/2 hour on it...

The graphics and sound are great, and I loved the originality. The only thing I would change is I would like to be able to move w/ asdw. This would make it a lot easier, and that may be something you deliberately didn't include.

All in all, it was a great game. Didn't reallly feel like a flash game, which is a good thing ;-)

Why did they Jpeg it, WHY ?

    2. When I hit them, the ennemies sometimes start blinking red over and over. Does it mean they're almost dead or is it a bug ?

    3. During mission 3, the game sometimes pause for no reason

    4.I can't success Mission 4 >.<

    Awesome game, congrats ^^

    Thanks for the comments.

To answer some questions, the original design had the player movement separate on the keyboard. I liked it, but once I tried the mouse-only variation (which makes it both easier to start playing, but also much harder to completely master), I moved to that as the only option and have not doubted the move since.

Why did they Jpeg it, WHY ?
    ... I'm sorry. I don't know what this means.

Yes.. That means they're almost dead.

I meant that you had an awesome pixel-perfect title screen and that in the game it suffers JPG compression.

awesome graphics and nice game play, id like it a little better if i didn't see the movement rings, or i could toggle them on/off, they kinda ruin the nice background.

Everyone has already said it, very nice graphics. I like the paths for the player and the enemies. Great fun at level 4, especially the initial comments before the level start. Great work

Yeah that's a good game though I'm glad it's short because now I don't have to scream at the screen in frustration every time that sodding "Resume Game" screen pops up :-).
