    ComboBox scrolldown problem

    Hi,

    I'm having a trouble with a comboBox component in flash 8. The combo is populated from a mysql database using php, and is located in a external swf loaded in a main movie. The combo works fine when i run the holder swf alone, but when i load de external swf (holding the combo) in the main movie, simply i cannot scrolldown when i click the combo, the only thing that happens is that the combo is marking as selected (with a border indicating focus) and cannot be scrolled and dont shows his content, only the first element in the component.

    Please, somebody can help with this?

    Thanks in advanced,

    Regards,

    Riflemex

    I've read (somewhere ???) that adding a combobox component
    to the Library of the main movie solves this problem.

    Not tested but worth a shot

    In fact i already done that, but the thing still don't work. I put the comboBox component into the man movie library. The first item of the combo is showed well, the problem comes when i click the objet in order to view the rest of the items, but the thing dont scroll down, only shows a border color around the object indicating focus.

    Anyone can help?

    hmm.. testing here with loading into main movie

    loadMovieNum("combo.swf",1);
    // all functions as expected

    loader.loadMovie("combo.swf");
    // fails as per your description

    when i drag a combo to stage of main movie and delete it ( to load assets)
    it all functions correctly again

    Try to write: this.lockroot = true; in the swf that hosts the combobox.
