    exporting flash to FLV

    Hi
A guy from Adobe spoke at our school today, and he told us that we could publish or export a flash movie as a .flv. We were discussing the problem that if you have a movieclip in an animation, and publish it as a quicktime movie - it does not play through the mc's timeline.

He suggested that if you exported as an .flv this problem would be solved. I am using Flash Professional 8. And I cannot see how you can export a flash movie as an .flv. Am I being realy dense?

    Thanks

ordinary flash animation can't be exported as flv
flv is a special video container, it contains video in it. just like youtube, google video, it looks like video but it is flv format.
if you want to convert video to flv, you can drag video to stage and export it as flv, or press "Ctrl + Shift + alt + s"
or you can use this soft here

Thanks for that. That is what I thought, but when this Adobe representative told me that you could export a flash animation as a .flv I thought I had got it wrong. Must have been a misunderstanding.
