Hello guys,

I am new to this forum, and i have an extremely frustrating problem!!

I had an .avi file, and used MM Video Encoder to convert it to an .flv file.

I used Dreamweaver to embed the file into a blank html page! When I view the page via 'http://localhost/vids/vid1.html', the video runs fine!

However, if i put the files (vid1.html, vid1.flv, and 2 .swv files that dreamweaver created) onto a remote server called webdev, and try and view it (http://webdev/vids/vid1.html), only a blank area with the 'click to activate' prompt is visible where the video should be. Clicking doesn't start the video. No video controls are even visible.

However, if i log on to the remote server, and go via the file system to vid1.html, and double click, IE loads up 'c:\inetpub\wwwroot\vids\vid1.html', and this plays fine! But again, even if i'm logged onto the webdev server, and use IT'S localhost/vids/vid1.html, the same blank area loads up.

I have trawled everywhere to find a solution, but cannot find one!

Please can someone shed some light on this? Is it a security problem of some sort?

Thanks
