    Virginia Tech Massacre

    A gunman opened fire in 2 shootings across campus this morning.

    This morning the initial report was 1 dead...now it's 22 dead and 28 wounded.

    At this rate..it's getting to the point I almost hate to tune into the news. Remember back in the day when someone pissed us off we would beat the s**t out of them and call it a day? These days we grab an uzi and smoke everything that moves and either blow our brains out or waste 12 months in court blaming everyone but ourselves.

    They said there were two episodes of shooting at the school, with two hours between them. Strange that he wasn't caught after the first one.

    2 people killed in the first shooting in a dorm room. 30 in the second shooting episode in an engineering building.

    The cops were on the other side of campus. Most US campuses aren't miniature like a lot I've seen in Europe.

    pretty crazy stuff.

    apparently as for the first shooting, the police were under the assumption that
    it was a domestic incident and thus didn't issue an alert campus wide. Tragic mistake.

    Now we're going to see all the reactive measures put into place. But you just can't plan for a complete psychopath like this.

    Still no id on the shooter.

    apparently they thought that the guy had left campus after the first incident.

    my guess is that he committed some crime he initially planned and was suprised that he hadnt already been taken down and just wandered around for a while. then decided to open fire again later.

    CNN pisses me off. Look at their current headline.

    "STUDENTS SLAUGHTERED" in big bold typeface.
    Do these sensationalist douchebags have no decency? Imagine how families must feel reading that headline.

    What do they think these victims are, cattle?

    It's quite obvious the media is loving this "breaking news". The news has been very dry lately.

    btw, Wolff Blitzer is a friggin toolshed. I just sent him a hate mail.

    I didn't say Fox News WAS better. I haven't even visited that site to see what their headline was.

    But I agree, from now on when I rant about one news organization I will make sure to include all 268 of them.
