Pea doesn't have a tablet, so exclude him from the list. Or just probe him harder to make him buy one.

I'd love a tablet. It would make my life easier. May get one when I get the Mac.

I wouldn't do anything without my tablet. It's that essential to my workflow.
Oh... and I'm about halfway through with my volley.
-
No I can't do it by tommorow..
If your serious about graphics and you honestly have attention for detail then a tablet is a must have.
A tablet at the very least will give you better work flow, but if you have attention for detail then it will improve your work so much....
I have a Wacom A3 on a dual monitor setup (soon to be triple)

You all make me envious. I wish I had a tablet, but I have a feeling it would get stepped on/sat on/dropped/spilled on, so on so forth. The day after I get it and it would all be a waste.

I've had two Wacoms (A5 and A4) and a Trust (A5) trashed by my kids in the past but it never put me off getting another

Then I might not want to get one. My brother rips up anything he can get his hands on.

Graphics Tablet
First post!
Hey guys, I really like the look of the forums here, seems like you have a good community going!
About graphics tablets - You gotta get one!! Like other people said, the help with the workflow alone is amazing. I don't know what I would do without mine. I have a Wacom Intuos3, I bought it on eBay to save some $$$. It came with some significant scratches on the drawing surface, it looks like someone pressed way to hard on it. Anybody know if there is any way to fix this up? (I think of that stuff you can use to repair scratches in your car window)?

You might want to contact Wacom. Depending on the model, they can replace that overlay.
And without further delay... I had to link to my image. The final image ended up being almost 500k in size...
Click the teaser image to see the final full-sized, 500kb image.

I thought it was an all vector battle. Guess there were no guidelines though.

It's not what tools you have it is how you use the tools you have. dick
Sweet ass volley G! I'm going to quote Nats on this. "I hate you" very nice indeed.
Then again you have a tablet so the skill and attention to detail must just be tablet side effect.

I asked Natsia before I started in on my volley... it's a "vexel" (vector+pixel) battle... something that I honestly learned about this week. The word, that is...
Sounds like that russian dude off of Star Trek trying to say "vessel"...
Thanks for the kind words guys. I'm way out of my comfort zone right now.
