[RESOLVED] [news] 2Kingdoms : music and Screens

    Hey !

I've just put online a music player that allows you to listen to the soundtrack that has been composed specially for 2KH - the player is a little big (1.25 meg) but I hope it's worth it - it also includes some recent, in-game screenshots...

Hope you guys will enjoy it :

Fantastic!, immediately puts me in an adventure mood. I was a bit worried everything would be over-melancholic, but I'm glad there's the lightweight "the Shops" and "Comfy at the Inn" too. This will definately not be a happy game, that's for sure. Congrats!, great work from studiocube (btw beautiful music-player).

Woah.... Utterly superb! (Omg, what a lame expression)

And just as the word "another wow-clone" popped up in my head, the "temporary graphics" just had to include a piece of wow-map!!

But hey, wether or not its a wow-clone, who cares when it looks and feels this fantastic? And the music? Cant wait to feel how it hears like when I'm playing the game..

Why is this made for flash by the way? You should release it for DS and PSP and make some real money out of it...

    Once again, incredibly fantastic!
I don't have a photograph, but you can have my footprints. They're upstairs in my socks.

Just spent the last hour or so listening to that as I worked. Most awesome, as in, I was struck with awe! Nice to see everything coming together.

Hey, glad you like the music as much as I do : the composer is French, and does business under the "studioCube" name - I will let him know how well his work was recieved, he will be happy !

To make things clear : you might have noticed that the screenshots size shrunk quite a bit since the last time - this is because 2KH might not "stay" as a Flash game - it's still devlopped in Flash for the moment, but who knows ...

Nope, not mobile but a nice little handheld with 2 screens, possibly ...

and there is no ETA on the completion date : it depends on what I do, with who, and using what technology : i've been kinda bounced back and forth lately, so hopefully things will settle and a serious ETA will be given

I liked the music quite a bit Lux. If the composer is interested in more work, please pass me his contact info off-list. We are always looking for musicians to compose for us. Thanks!

I know it sounds gay, but I'm really a sucker for this type of music. It was just wonderful, sorry but I audacity'd it with no intention of redistribution, just so I could slap it on my ipod. Tell me if this is a problem and I will gladly remove them, but know that they are not on my hard-drive, only my ipod.

just be aware that the music has been copyrighten and is internationally protected - and that I will be quite swift and mean if I see it hanging out somewhere else : it's the musician's hard work, it's not open source, it was provided for your pleasure - not for ripping : i'm bringing the player down

problem here isn't what you did, I trust you : problem is that you just explained / encouraged / suggested some people less honest than you to do the same - nothing personnal, but I won't take that risk for some work that isn't mine - if I leave the site up, then that's suggesting that it's alright to rip that music

Oh ----, I should have just pm'd you. That's all my fault. For credibility's sake, I will take the liberty of removing them from my IPOD. Sorry for the trouble.

it is also my fault : I should have known better - I thought that having the player in Flash would be enough to "protect" the soundtracks - I just didn't thought that people would go rip it through sound card hardware / software. so in a sense, that might just be better like that ...

Meh, not going to stop me from feeling completely guilty. We've spoke before, and I think you understand how much I idolize and look up to this game, hindering it's progress would not only devastate you and the community, I can't imagine the mental stress I'd have carrying that around, so, mod please change my post about ripping. Again, my apologies.
