equi distant movement along a spline / curve
Anyone had any success with movie an object at a constant rate along a spline - Ive tried using cubic bexier formulas (based on the http://www.reflektions.com/miniml/ stuff) but it always slows down on the corners, I want to move an object along a scripted path, but at a velocity decoded by me... for a lawn bowling game

does it have to be in actionscript? motion guides seem like they'd work just fine
i can't test out an actionscript version for curves, had to do a pc recovery recently, now I dont have flash anymore...or an administrative account on this computer (no installation allowed)

He's asking for maths help, not Flash help.

I'm a bit vexed by the change in speed along the curve. This should not be happening.
Didn't have time to look at the source of your formulas, but just to make sure, try googling "VB, Bezier, K.O. Thaha Hussein" and use his math. The speed along the curve should remain constant as long as the parameter of the curve remains constant.
Keep in mind that Flash does not do well at displaying Bezier curves unless you break them up into nine points that are drawn in four curveTo segments. If you're dealing with curvilinear paths that have more than four points and are more complex than Bezier curves, these topics are beyond my understanding at this point.
