    Flash Video Spokesperson

Hello everyone new here, I have question that I believe others may want to know about too. Its about having an actor come across the page of a website and talk. After right clicking I see they use Flash or either convert whatever file into it. I know they use a green screen to chromo key out the background but what software do they use to get the actor on the website? I use Flash MX and am wondering if the technology is somehow hidden in there. There has got to be a trick to this. I have come close to it but i am running up against some problems. I know I have to upgrade my camera to HD so they say for better quality but how do they get the actors on the page and make it so that the actor looks like they are walking across your page without blocking out any of your text or background image. Here are some examples of what i am talking about.

    Thanks in advance

You're right, others do want to know about it, and in fact the question has been answered here before. That's why it's a good idea to search the forum before asking a question.

In any case, this is done using alpha channel video (which was introduced in Flash 8) and to place a Flash movie over your page, you can use wmode="transparent", which has been around for several years.

Doing something like this in Flash MX is possible, but more difficult. Essentially you have to export your video as a series of transparent pngs, and then combine them in Flash again.
