    possible bug

Hi, for some unknown reason I am unable to use the keyboard character "\" in AS, It displays a strange looking "w" character, but I can use the character in fscommand function.
I have downloaded the latest version but it still happens. I tested it on my backup XP computer and no error.
My current computer is an i7 running Windows 7 pro (64bit)
Let me know if you need any more info
    Thanx
    Clive

    P.S. Currently using version 7.5.0

In any programming language, backslash is always associated with a second character. For instance, \r is carriage return and \n is new line. What follows the backslash? If you want just backslash use \\.

    Thanks Bob,

I have attached a pic of what is displayed when I press the backslash keyboard button in the "Action Script Editor" only, everywhere works fine and displays the "\" correctly.
I am not using "\" in the Editor but found it a bit strange that it doesn't display correctly.
It's not a problem for me and if no one else has this issue then just put it down to my computer and OS :-)
    Kind regards
    Clive

I bet it's a font issue. Try changing the font as a test

    Thanx Blanius,
LOL... you're correct, I changed the scripting font and Bingo, it displayed correctly. What confused me was the backslash was working everywhere else but I didn't think of changing the scripting font in perferences :-)
    Thanx again
    Clive

Not that I'm smart, just dealt with it once before.
