[F8] Rec Tool: rounded corners are pixelated and jagged

Hello,

I've just noticed that all of my rounded corners created with the rectagular tool produce jagged corners. I tried all the known tricks _quality=high, line wieghts, colors, setting player quality etc.

how can i display crisp sharp clean rounded corners for my rec/boxes?

Is this a new problem in flash 8?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

are they on whole numbers values & dimensions whole numbers?

IE:

Height: 84
Width: 93

not 84.3 & 93.9??

same for the X & Y properties??

They are on whole numbers. No fractions.

try turning on STROKE HINTING.. also changing the CAP & JOIN options for your LINE parameters...

Yes, i tried these params before. The end caps, miter and stroke hinting.

Have you tried to make a rec or box with rounded corners? The corners are very jagged. I don't recall this issue with previous versions of Flash.

I have since tried importing a rounded rectangle created in PS with mixed results.

Any other ideas?
