[SHOWOFF] My first magazine appearance! :D

    Wii Shaft
He's a complicated game and no one understands him but his woman. Drop a ball down a shaft without hitting the base. Wii Shaft!
Pretty happy about this. The first game I make for the Wii (in fact, the first game I make with my friend) and it appears a couple of months later in NGamer.

And before you ask, I have NO idea what the little review thing means, but I like how they put an exclamation mark after the game's name.

Congrats! Let me be the first to start the slowly buiding 80's clap!

    *clap..... clap.... clap.....*

    *edit:*
My wife has been published a few times and the recognition was weird and very random. Months after the fact people we knew would suddenly notice it. Often people we told about it at the time!

"Hey! I just saw you got published in XYZ!"
"Thanks.... um.... that was 6 months ago!"

"Drop a ball down a shaft"
Is a box the new ball now? Hehe, good job.

Sometimes old news is the most surprising. My brother's webite where you control RoboDS was posted on stubleupon a couple of months after he released it. And a magazine was asking him to write an article.

One thing though, on the description page on wiicade..
    Created entirely with code
Nobody cares if it's coded graphics or not. Or wait, actually it would be better if it wasn't, because then it would probably been better. No offense, but the graphic is horrible..

Apparently the weird review is a reference to some movie or something called 'Shaft', which nobody seems to have watched.

I agree, T1ger, but the reason I made this game was to show my friend Pete how to do basic collision detection and use the Drawing API (also he'd been bugging me for a while to make some changes to the original version). Perhaps I will make a revamp of it with music and better graphics. One feature I was thinking of adding was a limited-use (or timer-based) emergency parachute, for when the platforms start to get too far apart.

Also, to be honest, I haven't actually ever played this on a Wii. I just used the WiiCade API and hoped for the best.
