A few photos what do you think

My buddy and I went out on a hike that overlooks our City. I have touched a few up with photoshop as noted just to see other variations

Slightly touched up with photoshop (the sun halo was how it shot from the camera)

I personally prefer the touched up images cause of the reduced haze and better contrasts...I am not too fond of the brown borders...the blacks are great though as they seem to 'boost' the colors a bit.
1-4 look skew? ;-) Nevertheless 1 is my favorite!

i really like hte look of 1 & 2. i know you're probably going for a dark high contrast look, but it would be nice to see it lightened up a little as it seems a lot of details is lost.

they look a little grainy too (in the sky- particulary in the b&w ones), or maybe that's hte compression?

and as frex said- the horizon needs straightening out on a few of those.

i like that last one too- hte foreground looks like velvet!

very spectacular scenery- where is it?

ahh I do see the horizon is a bit tilted... these are pictures from the north mountains of Salt Lake City, Utah

photo 1 and 6 together would be the entire SLC valley divided up into several citys but all connected.

    Thanks for your comments!
