Fullscreen makes my swf go 4x faster!

    Hello!

I have made a application in cs3 that has a lot of moving things and an own animator. When I just play my movie I get 60fps, then I switch to fullscreen and back to normal mode when I suddenly get 240fps!

That is when I am using Firefox, in IE there is no difference.

Anyhow ever heard of this and knows how to always get the better performance? ( Or just have some ideas why it is like this )

    Thanks!

How does IE compare to Firefox? Using this bench test, I find that fireFox is about 10% faster, when both web browsers are open.

Can you post your fla file?

    1) I would like to give it a try myself.
    2) I havent worked with fullscreen yet, and would like to see how it's scripted
    3) I don't know how to write code to vary the frames per second, so would like to see how thats done as well.

    Thanks..

Sorry cant post the fla as it isn't released yet and it is a big one!
    1) 10 people has done the benchmark, same results. Seems like Firefox demands more cpu time in fullscreen from the CPU.
    2) Search for fullscreen in flash help, it is easy as hell to toggle
    3) I am rendering my own animation first, then have the timer class to go through all "frames" and render them. Google for animator class 2 or something like that!, Ive seen a framework that makes you do you own animations in the same fashion.
