Wow, thanks for this show real The Helmsman. This real showcased a lot of neat stuff, that paper vision is capable of, I'm pretty impressed. Neat! The absolute vodka website, looked really cool! Thanks again, I look forward to seeing the future of paper vision in flash.

    ASCollada girl???
Does that mean that animation is now supported in PaperVision?
If so then that brings me one step closer to deciding to create Resident Evil Flash. Been waiting for this.

Papervision itself doesn´t natively support mesh bone animtion stored in the collada yet. But there is an own api/package called ASCollada which can be used with several 3d engines like pv3d,sandy etc to use that animation data.
(That package is also added into the phunky beta branch of pv3d so it will probably be natively part of it with pv3d 2.0)

I wonder if it could handle a 4200 poly character ?

    short answer: yes.
long answer: as you probably want to show and do more than handle a single model its recommended that you have your meshes as low poly as possible

Wrong. All I would need is ablilty to display 1 character standing there, and ability to change the texture on the fly.

What kind of frame-rate can I expect with something like this? (Wish I had time to research for myself)

All I would - in theory- need to make a half-decent Res Evil 4 clone would be the ability to throw in a few onscreen models at a time with a Mode 7 fake 3d style plane to have the backgrounds and objects on. Less enemies, but harder to kill. The idea has been brewing in my mind for a loooong time along with a few others that require a tad 3d. Awesome.

    Oh that was odd...

First time I looked (see astonisched post) I didn't see anything at all. Or atleast, I saw only the site without the video. I thought I was crazy for not being able to find the play button or something.

Anywayz, I just checked back and video was there in all it's glory. I have to say there is quite some neat stuff in there.
