Sound Linkages and Preloaders

Hi All,
I have a flash file in which I load a sound using the old way of importing a wav file and then selecting its linkage properties. I selected the option of export in first frame. However, I encounter a problem when I do this.

While the file itself runs fine, the preloader doesn't kick in until the sound file (which is loading on the first frame) finishes loading. I understand why this is occuring since I have instructed the large sound file to be loaded on the first frame which is where my preloader is. Is there a way to actually preload the sound files without having them load before the preloader.

Id rather have the preloader display the load progress of the file as a whole and not just show up after the sound files have loaded. Thanks for any help in advance

I completely understand now... I didn't realize there were problems with linkage when preloading. Thanks so much - works like a charm now!
