    Buttons?

    I started using Flash a week ago and I have a question. How do you make buttons?

    Anything can be a button. It's just creating something that you want to be a button and then right clicking on it and converting it to a symbol. In the symbol dialog box you would select button or movieclip (movieclips can work as buttons if you know how to script them).

    I would recommend getting a few beginner books to get your basics down. Macromedia's Training from the Source book for Flash is a good one. I'm sure there are some others as well, but that's the one that got me started.
