    That's pretty cool...no idea how they did the peeling shapes. The final look wouldn't be difficult, but the peeling is pretty slick...

    Disclaimer: Just my opinion.

    Two main layers are used. Top layer (TL) and Bottom layer (BL).
    TL contains the animation/masking of the peel.
    BL contains the animation/masking of the peeled surface being revealed.

    How the 2 works together in tandem, now thats another story...
