Perhaps im not very specific on what i want to do. Well i have an mp3 file that i want to input to my flash animation, catch is that i want the music to begin after 3secs from the beggining.
Can i crop or "hide" those 3secs at the beginning with the flashes help, or must i use and external application to do the cropping?

You can do it in Flash, but it's not a very good tool for it. Assuming you want to put the mp3 on the timeline rather than load it through Actionscript, you click the sound on the timeline and click "Edit" in the Properties panel. A box will come up with little gray bars on it you can drag to edit the beginning and end of the clip.
