    resolved [RESOLVED] textbox.restrict... Not working!

    I am using Flash MX Professional 2004, and I have a textbox with a var of textboxbox.

    Code:
    textboxbox.restrict = "^@";
    What I want to do with the above code (in the first and ONLY frame), is have a textbox that can have ANY character EXCEPT an at sign (@). What this code does instead is...Well, nothing. I can still type anything I want into it. Any suggestions?

    works for me. textboxbox needs to be the instance name of the textfield, not the var.

    Whenever I change the instance name of a the textbox "textboxbox" (yes it is named that), it comes up with this error when I export it...

    WARNING: This movie uses features that are not supported in the Flash 5 player
