    flex image editor

trying to find an open source flex image editor i can use as a base and grow into something better..
i bought this thinking id get mxml and as files but its a swc so i cant really adapt it http://flexcubed.com/component_detai...c9786a5e2853df

there are lots of sites that have them, picnic.com splashup.com http://fotoflexer.com

im surprised i havent found anything open source yet.. even if you have to pay a small fee for source i can deal with it. i just dont want to start from scratch, some base to build off would save me some time...

i'm in the same boat... did you ever find anything to accomplish this?

i'd be willing to pay for something if it exists as well.

    Flash and Flex Image Editor

This isn't a free image editor but if you are building a commercial app this Flash Image Editor we built might be of use to you:

    www.FlashImageEditor.com.

It can be a great way to get the source code for your own image editing project.

    I hope this helps...

    Cheers!

Another commercial editor ($199) but worth it for all the features! check out http://nikkosart.com/nikkoImage/...
NikkoImage offers a complete solution for building web applications that require a user to crop, touch up and upload an image to a server. NikkoImage utilizes Flash Player 10 or above so no additional technologies such as ImageMagick or Pearl are required. Simply place the .swf file on any of your web pages and point it to your upload script ... that's it!

    NikkoImage Features include:

    Image Upload
    Image Cropping
    Image Drag N' Drop
    Image Rotation
    Image Zoom
    Red Eye Removal
Contrast, Brightness, Hue and Saturation Adjustors
Input GIF, JPEG and PNG file formats
Complete Control of Output Image Scale
Complete Control of Output Image DPI
Detect and respond to Input Image DPI
Includes CS4 or CS5 .fla to modify look and feel
    Clearly documented ActionScript code
