    The Graffiti Creator

    Hello fellow developers!

This website or flash gadget is not new, it's been online since 2001 but
we have just released many new cool functions and stuff for our fonts
and I wanted to re-promote our program again.

The Graffiti Creator is a little flash gadget that allow you to easily make
    your own custom-made graffiti-styled texts.
The program is absolutely free to use.

You can now use alpha channel for most color sections.
This will open up new ways to make your text unique.
    Check it out at: http://www.graffiticreator.net

    Thanx!

    Nice... game?

I tried it. Did some resizing and when I wanted to apply some color to my coatings, the red slider would become unselected and I couldn't click anything else.

Funny novelty for a minute though, but I don't see why this should be in the games section.

Your interface colors are TOO DARK. I can barely read text on the buttons, etc. (You must be on a Mac?)

This is a cool tool, but if you really want "success" with it, I would recommend you figure out a way for people to save out a GIF or JPG of the results, and then provide them an easy "code" so they can add the image to MySpace, Facebook, etc.

    Not totally OT, hopefully, but:

Do you have any working solution for that (excluding "Print Screen")? I saw an example in the past (in AS2?), it worked but it was just terribly slow even with a small image.

Are there any good solutions nowadays?

    bitmapData and PHP
you use the draw() method that comes with the bitmapData object and either encode a PNG in AS3 or generate a Array and toss it over to PHP wich will create real image on the server. That server url then is passed to flash or the browser so that the user can download that file- done

lots of resources on the net:

No, I'm on a PC. Can't stand the sight of Macs. Anyways, that's a very importan t note about the interface beeing too dark. I have only tested it on my own two puters and it seem fine. But I'm gonna lighten it up.

And with the Save image thing..oboy have I tried. The program is written in AC, not even AC2, Started in Flash 4. Back then there was not a way in the world. But I have searched for a way on AS3 now, but so far nothing. For every new version they make, i'm stunned to find out that they forget this thing. I even hired ppl to find a solution for this using other serverside scripts but they came up with nothing.
    I'm stuck on that point.

That was pretty cool. As others were saying it would be great if it were able to create a gif or a png or whatever. Nice site also, I liked some of the examples that others had built there.

I hope you can figure out how to get it to output some images!
