I saw it off and on here...slightly cloudy. I tried to get a shot of it, but my only lens is a 17-40. It's not going to be good.

Weird how they shot down that spy satellite during a full lunar eclipse.

Ah, these boys is all swelled up. So this was earlier...getting set to trade. Then, woooaaah differences.

Yeah, my eclipse shot is lame...but not bad considering the moon was nano in my viewfinder. But i was surprised at the moonbow photo i had taken only 90 minutes earlier. Hard to believe the two photos were taken so close together.

I'm guessing a crop. I took this last eclipse with a crappy 70-300mm Tamron.

That $100,000 1200mm would have been sweet :0

Handheld with a two second shutter. It took 60 shots but I got one that turned out alright.

    ...I need a tripod.

Pooon you have a hand rail or ledge from that view? Bag of rice or flour or something similar is awesome for a tripod when in a pinch.

This seems quite a nifty gadget although I've never needed to use a tripod

They are really nice just make sure to get the right size. I think there is 3 different versions. Point and shoot, SLR, and SLR+tele lens.

Can't the same image be accomplished by taking a normal moon picture and adjusting the levels in photoshop?
