Current Selection Cannon have Actions Applied

I am trying to create a very simple button in Flash CS3, my first time with AS3. I'm trying to create a button from an png image. All I want is to click the image and have the action jump to frame 5. When I select the button (I've tried both botton and movie clip instances) I get this error message...Current Selection Cannon have Actions Applied.

Does anyone know how to fix this or how I can create this jump??????

You probably need to place the image in a MovieClip and add button behavior to the Movieclip.
