    Sneakers <3

I'm currently applying to a job as a sneakers designer, and well, I'm making some designs so I can better impress when I show my folio, and I want to get some feedback from you guys (more interested in feedback regarding the sneaker design mainly) =P

Both are proposals for Y-3 (Adidas by Yohji Yamamoto)

I quite like the design. Simple, but nice.

yes, I like to keep it simple, too much of anything will just clutter the designs, and it would be... over design =S

I'll take a pair... pretty cool, I actually like the top version better than the bottom one,

Thx for the feedbacks =). The first one (was actually drawn after the red/white one) is also my favorite. It has a very distinct feature: the laces dont need to be knotted, they can be wrap around the plastic thingie with the adidas logo, just like a manila envelope (yes, I've seen the Mac AIr ad xD). But I've missed a detail in the illustration to better give the idea of the way it works: the end of the shoe laces coming out from somewhere in the disc =S

But actually I have some sneakers that have a pretty much similar mechanism, the Puma Mihara Disc, but they are not as manual as my design is supposed to be. They have a Disc (duh!) which can turned around and the shoe laces get more tight each time you turn it.

Made some more today, more sportish like. The 3rd one colours (which is my favorite from this new series) was made by mistake, when I was working in Photoshop and inadvertently misclicked with the paint bucket in a wrong layer xD

not too keen on the paint spatter. Looks good, but I prefer plainer, "block" patterned trainers.

    top one is good though

It's quality 2D work - how about 3D though? Trainers are a 3D object so I'd like to be able to see designs in 3D and be able to rotate around it.
