    Running 3 Monitors?

Can you run 3 monitors on a Windows XP system?
Some people say yes some say Windows XP cannot handle 2 video cards.

Or is there a video card that has 3 monitor ports?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

I have xp with 3 monitors on my work pc. The card cost about 80$. Its a Radeon 9250. It actually only has one output but it comes with a pigtail that you plug two monitors in to then you can plug the 3rd monitor in to the onboard card, assuming you have one. The interface to the 3 monitors is provided by the Radeon software. Pretty low budget.

    Thanks guys.

I have a Radeon 7000 Card with 2 ports. All I need is the pigtail and the software.

What do you mean switch? The button on the MacBook that changes the display mode (F7 I think) should do the trick if you have Leopard and Boot Camp.

    Planet,

Are all 3 of your monitors showing differant things?

Also my Radeon 7000 has 2 ports and my PC has one on the motherboard, but the one on the mother board seems to be disabled and I cannot find it in my device manager.

What is the software to run 3 monitors, where can I find it?

I personally use Ultramon for my dual setup... but to add a third one, it would take me just to add a third monitor by splitting one of my DVI outputs on my ATi HD2600 Pro and have it drive a third monitor.

Combined with the proper software, that will split a DVI dual-channel into a DVI-single channel and a VGA. Take a read...

Where the hell have you BEEN dude!?

Crazy busy, knee deep into Adobe Flex now, and just fresh off of a business trip from Hades.

And still trying to get back into just design... ain't happening. Pays too little.

Yep. btw, that should work out for you just fine... but just in case, let me know. I'm close enough to you to send you a different one that works fine and I know I'll never use it.

Am I the only one or does every geek who has at least put one computer together have a box FULL of crap? I have a box over flowing with 3.5" drives, ribbon cables, power cords, zip ties, you name it I have it. I bring it to school to unload on people who ask "hey do you have a cable that..." I have rigged mine and my room mates electronic crap all together with it and still have a full box. It never empties.

    We all have them.

    Gerbs,

I just got a Radeon 9250 video card, much better. When the pigtail comes I will test it out. I'll have the 22" on the digital plug, and run the 2 19"s on the VGA's. I downloaded Ultramon it is awesome.

    Gerbs,

The cable came and I split the DVI port 1 DVI 1 VGA, but only the DVI monitor is working. Any ideas?
