Splash page. Fun.

I'm a bit bored and a tiny bit curious.
I've been playing around in Photoshop and Illustrator and came up with this:



It's just a splash page mock-up. It will be done in flash, animations, special effects and all that sparkling voodoo stuff :P

So, what ya all think ? Good/bad/ok/whatever ?

I like it; it's got a lot of energy. There is one thing that is throwing me off. You've got two birds on the left, one black and one white. It looks off to me because they're the same bird, close in size and proximity, and going the same direction. The other birds don't bother me, just either one of those. I guess that might just be my opinion and not really based on any design principles. Otherwise, nice blend of vector and bitmap.

Thanks for the reply ! Yeah, I agree on the birds... I'll have to change that anyways but when I posted this I was simply way too lazy to change anything. The whole stuff will have quite a nice bunch of AE in it and dynamic stuff.

I like it, tiny bit busy, lots of elements used (splats dont work with the clouds for me) sometimes less is more. I am loving the subtle japan starburst, that looks cool

Hey guys, thanks for all the feedback, I really appreciate it.
Here's the same thing from a different approach, a darker theme, what ya think?
( there are no major changes, I just tried to play around with the colors a bit... I observed that sometimes "busyness" has more or less to do with the color intensity, really intense colors might be hard on the eye and it might produce unwanted effects - it's true that I have tons of elements in the images but I think it's still at the edge of busyness << or maybe not :P >> ).

Me again,

Since I've posted all this then I'll hit you guys with one more "thing". It's one of the 3 sketches I'm making for a new client. I know that it kinda feels a bit "template-ish" but for a strange reason I really like the overall look and feel. The other 2 sketches will have a totally different style / color theme ( the second one will be much darker, a lot of black and the third one orangeish ).



Any feedback is appreciated, suggestions are most welcome.
