Mourning Morning.
Well Silver... between these guy's offerings and carly's invitation earlier, we should have a wide selection of photos.
You want to stretch this out a bit longer vs. the two apiece we were discussing?

Silver... be careful of rubberstamping too closely and repetitively. In the field, upper right you still have some very noticeable rubber stamp cloning going on. The stars you chose could have been made about 25-37.5% smaller and then repeated, flipped vertically and that would have filled out those areas and been a bit more small - some look a bit big. I love the sky, you did fix that horizon from when we had talked, but be careful of that transition - I see a harsh line in the sky. Masking the transition should have included more steps.
Overall... a very good picture and you've come a long way from your "I stop rocks with mah teevfs" days
groupof1, be careful on your layer masks. On the knee and her arms, there's a bit of fuzziness that you could have avoided; also masking around the hair could have been a bit tighter as well - and you could have either masked out or hand-painted hair tendrils to make it look like her look like she was more in the scene instead of placed.
Good use of shadows, but they're a tad bit strong. I tend to stick around Multiply/45% on a dark grey (not black) fill with a slight bit of diffuse/noise to make them look a bit more natural if they're falling away from an object with a slight layer mask to make it less defined the further away from the object.
Your sense of light - you picked up the right angles from the rocks I'd say - and your composition brings out a bit of tension (that's good)... and the colors pop out as a fantasy picture moreso than actual... so you have a good atmosphere.
Good battle guys.

I like the concept. Especially the tin man. I would try softening his shadow a bit around the edge though. Also, the image looks to be in broad daylight, but their shadows are taller than they are. As if the light was from a car headlight or something. Just my observations.
Funny... you even sound tired in your comments.
I'll only be here half a day today, so I should have something for you on Monday or Tuesday.
Get some rest.

Ok.. Ok... I know I said next week, but it was slow today and I found a great picture form azphotoguy. (thank you!)
http://board.flashkit.com/board/showthread.php?t=762751
That along with the Wizard of Oz theme, and I just got a spark and had to run with it. I think it turned out well, what do you all think.
The monkeys aren't as nice as i would like, and I had a hell of a time trying to mask the lightning but... oh well.

Hey Group, that is pretty cool.... Nice mood change. I do not see what you used from silvers image on this one. Do you guys have to incorporate something from the previous volley?
Thanks for using one of my shots..

No sweat, of course it's Monday now...
Anyway, I did use the bricks from your image Silver.
It's funny that the building in the pic is actually a really cool chapel built into the side of these huge rocks. You should take a look at photoguy's pic.

groupof1... the darkness added to the mood of the image; however it made it a tad bit too dark and you lost some of the contrast in the original photo quite a bit.
Good re-appropriation of the prior image portions though.
